When the founders of Treetz crafted their vision for exceptional dog treats, they imagined a fusion of health and happiness, much like the joyful wag of a tail or a contented lick of tasty goodness. That’s where our expertise came into play. Our quest? To develop a brand that not only embodies the purity and naturalness of the ingredients but also resonates with the delightful experience each Treetz treat brings – symbolized by our cheerful logo with its smiling, tongue-out expression. Paws & Personalities: designing the Treetz Mascot + Crew
When we kicked off our partnership with Treetz, the first character we dreamed up was Happee, the super friendly Golden Retriever. He's got those big, sparkly eyes and a tail that just doesn't stop, making him a hit with everyone. Happee isn't just any dog; he's the embodiment of loyalty, fun, and treat-filled goodness. But he was just the beginning. As the first of our mascot family for Treetz, Happee set the stage for a whole lineup of furry friends, each bringing their own unique charm and spreading the happy, healthy vibes that Treetz is all about. These characters are more than just mascots; they're the heartwarming faces of the brand, each one celebrating that special connection pets have with their people.
Meet the Treetz Pack
The Treetz brand comes to life through a crew of mascots that each show off a different side of pet personality.
Chi Chi is the rebellious Chihuahua with a small body and a big voice. Max brings comic relief with his goofy, lovable energy. Buster, known as Bro Bro, is the cool one with shades and swagger. Happee, the Golden Retriever, is the friendly face at the center of it all. Duke balances the group with his calm, shy, and gentle vibe.
Together, this lineup builds instant recognition. Each mascot gives pet parents a way to connect with the brand through humor, charm, and the traits they see in their own pets. This mix of characters makes Treetz feel fun, relatable, and memorable in every interaction.
HAPPEE IN ACTION: WHY CUSTOM ILLUSTRATION MATTERS
To make a mascot stick, it has to feel real. That is why we designed Happee in different poses, running, playing, sipping a drink, and sitting with his favorite toy. These moments show his full personality and give the brand plenty of ways to connect with people. Custom illustration makes this possible. It gives the brand a one-of-a-kind look that stock graphics cannot match. Every pose is made to fit Treetz, keeping the style consistent across packaging, social media, and campaigns. By giving Happee range and expression, we created a character that can carry stories across every channel while always feeling true to the brand.
BUILDING A DIGITAL HOME FOR TREETZ
The Treetz website was created to bring the dog treats brand online in a way that feels fun, clear, and true to its playful identity. We designed a site that shows off human grade dog treats with bold visuals, custom mascot illustrations, and easy shopping paths for pet parents. The goal was simple — make it effortless to explore flavors, understand ingredients, and buy with confidence.
This digital home gives Treetz a strong online presence, optimized for both desktop and mobile. With fast load times, clear product pages, and a design built for engagement, the site makes it easy for dog owners to connect with the brand and shop their favorite treats.
MORE THAN A BAG OF TREATS
When we set out to design Treetz’s packaging, the goal was clear: stand out from the aisle of “same-looking” pet treats. Too often, dog treat brands lean on muted colors, stock photos, or generic silhouettes. We wanted packaging that carried the same energy, humor, and personality that drives the brand itself.
STORIES IN EVERY BAG: DESIGNING PACKAGING WITH PERSONALITY
The solution was a bold system built around four elements.
Comic strips on the back - Each bag tells a quick, funny story with the mascot crew. It is entertaining, easy to share, and makes the brand feel alive.
Character development woven in - Chi Chi, Happee, Buster, Max, and Duke are part of the packaging story, giving each bag its own voice and personality.
Bright, ownable colors - Red for chicken and blue for beef stand out on shelf and tie back to the upbeat brand tone. Where competitors use neutrals and browns, Treetz owns a playful palette that signals freshness and fun.
Bold typography - A chunky, approachable typeface makes key claims like 100% Human-Grade and Nothing Artificial easy to read while keeping the look friendly.
By combining function with storytelling, the packaging delivers brand values the moment it is picked up. Compared to competitors, Treetz stands apart as colorful, character-driven, and fun, while still communicating trust, nutrition, and quality.
